Omori North America and PMI Kyoto Packaging Systems today announced the agreement to form J-Packaging Solutions Inc. (JPS), a jointly owned company being established to provide integrated packaging solutions throughout North America.

Omori North America has expanded its U.S. presence with a new Atlanta, Georgia facility, providing faster access to packaging equipment support, technical service, parts, training, testing, and tray padding services. The new location strengthens Omori’s ability to deliver responsive, local support for food and consumer packaged goods manufacturers across the United States

Omori North America has expanded its packaging machinery line through a new partnership with Frimaq to introduce a high-performance lidding system for food producers. This addition rounds out Omori’s offering, giving manufacturers a complete tray sealing solution for dairy, meats, produce, meals, and bakery applications.

Omori North America joins the International Fresh Produce Association. The leaders of the former United Fresh and Produce Marketing Association believe today’s industry members need an association that speaks with a more unified, authoritative voice; demonstrates its relevance to the world at large; advocates for member interests; and unleashes a new understanding of fresh produce.

Based in Ottawa, Ontario, the Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) is a not-for-profit organization that represents companies that are active in the marketing of fresh fruits and fresh vegetables in Canada from the farm gate to the dinner plate.
